Un Posting

What if we said no to “posting” the mundane (and previously private)
shallow details of our lives on the the internet / social media?
What would that LOOK  like?
What would that SOUND like?
Could you “live” without it?

Yea. Just STOP “posting” ……

“Selfies”. Constantly.
Our Breakfast.
Our Lunch.
Our Dinner.
Our sneakers.
Where we are.
Where we were.
What we just did.
Who we are with.
Who we were with.
What we think – right now.
What we are “going to “do. (LOVE that one!)
Political memes.
“Memes”….of any kind.
How we took a social media unplug day (?).
Pictures of our pets. Constantly.
Pictures of our kids.
What we just bought.
The movie we just watched.
The game we just played.
Our thoughts on Covid. (Before they get censored and deleted).

What IF?

What if we said NO! to the “asshole in our head” that actually
thinks “friends” on a website truly care about our lives every detail?

What if we simply partook in the these above mentioned activities
sans the compulsory and nearly unconscious action of “posting” the event ?

Could we?

-Enjoy each moment MORE?
-Calm our frazzled nerves?
-Relieve our excessive anxiety?
-Recover from the need of constant external validation?
-Regain our lost power, privacy &  actually have something to talk about
with out saying “oh yea, I saw that on your feed” – when we spend real time with others?
-Experience a life with more depth than a puddle?
